Hi Kevin,

All the components now in house. Re: Hitec servo: are the green, yellow and red wires retained, i.e. the circuit board with orange/brown wires connected device is to be discarded? If OK what are the + and - for the servo?

Hi Jan,

You need to open up the servo and remove the wiring, electronic PCB, position potentiometer and the end stops.

Solder 2 wires directly onto the motor and these will become the wires to the switch box.

Hi Kevin,

Clear. Removed the lot. At the motor should I remove the little resistor?

Sorry for the bombardment of questions.

As soon as it is up and running I will post some pictures/video.

I would leave the resistor in place if it is across the motor terminals.
