I know this according to the rotax manual, but 2-3psi extra boost with a intercooler for a very short period will NOT harm the engine. Over period, yes it might. I have long experience with automotive race engine building and designing. There are many gyrocopters flying the 912UL TURBO continous 40-45" and they have no issues reacing TBO !
