Again, thank you both. My inclination, especially after this, is to leave well enough alone, but I will consider it. If only those o-rings weren't $30 a pop!

Haven't used them in a 912 but I have used the same brand in the cylinder heads on a 582 with good results.

I have used Maryland Metrics before and they are fine if used in the proper application and use the proper material. They come in Neoprene and Viton.
