Hi Jan, No we did not change the position of the needle in the carby, and the other 5 points you have raised have all been checked, I guess some one out there knows the answer, all we have to do is find him and both our problem engines will be fixed.

Hi Kevin, we found that the vibration was coming from the gear box. The gear box was removed and sent to an authorized Rotax distributer , Bert Flood Imports Australia, and I believe that some bearings were replaced, the gear box was re installed and no further problems found the aircraft runs very smooth now. I have heard of other cases in Australia that have been fixed the same way.
