How to bleed the oil system with a thermostat

Hi,

I just changed all oil hoses and took the opertunity to fit an oil thermostat in the oil lines.
As the thermostat shortens the oil cooler under 80Â°C oil themperature I do not know how to bleed the system now.
Any ideas?

Purge the system just like it says in the book. Check the tappets after the purge for softness, they should be firm. Follow this from the video here on our website. The oil thermostat has a small hole bypass. If you want it to purge better then apply a heat gun to the thermostat and get it hot and it will open then purge a little more. If you turn the prop over during the purge with a little speed you should see an oil pressure on your panel.
