Hi, I have the 912ULS at 5000 rpm the volts read 13.6, if I turn on strobes, nav lights, landing lights, aux fuel pump and heater the volts drop fast. just have to monitor and use the things that are needed at that time of flight.
Landing lights and heaters are big current draws and if you don't absolutely need them I would leave them off. Anytime you can reduce a current draw for the most part you are better off. Leave electrical items off you don't really need.
If you want to get a carb heater there are two styles. The electric one that pulls current all the time or the Hot Water or coolant heater. It uses the coolant heat for carb heat and is on all the time and doesn't pull any power. This in my opinion is a better system.
