Robert, I think you are right. Two out of three new 912 installations in this area on ring mounts have needed to alter the bracket referred to above. I am guessing that in so doing, the trigger coils are moved somehow.
In one case a new bracket was made, he is a aircraft engineer and advised I would need do the same. Sure enough the bracket as fitted would not allow the engine into the ring mount. I took it off, bent it 180 deg, turned it around and this allowed the engine to be fitted to the ring mount.
