Fuel pressure gauge instalation

I´m going to install a mechanic fuel pressure gauge for my 912UL. The fuel system uses a simple "T" between carburetors, and I saw in the instruction video for line pressure measuring, that the best place to get the pressure, in this case, is between the "T" and one carburetor. My question is if it is the better place for a permanent instalation, since I will install the gauge at airplane panel.

    Ricardo,

    Technically speaking, a tee could be placed anywhere between the fuel pump and the carbs. The easiest place however, is at the fuel manifold. No cutting of fuel lines required at this point. Simply change the banjo fitting to one with an extra hose barb for the pressure gauge. The location of the metering jet for the fuel return line is changed also but this is a simple task done in the banjo fitting. If you download part 14.4.2) fuel pressure control from the rotax 912 installation manual, it shows you exactly what to change. Changing these parts is a fifteen minute job.

    It is good to have permanent fuel puel pressure installed in your cockpit. Check all engine instrument before take off and go with confident.

    I installed it in the right carburetor tubing, and works around 0,32 bar at idle and 0,30 bar at take off. Very good !
