Draft height is the same thing as lift height. Basically it’s the difference between the liquid source and the pump. So it does make a difference where the pump is mounted. If the pump is mounted too high let’s say up on the firewall over that 12” (I.e. 15”- 17”) then it’s out of its operational range. I’ve swapped out the Facet pumps that draft 12” and went to 18” draft height and 1-2 psi more. None of these low wing planes ever had low fuel pressure again.
