I see no one gave you an answer yet.  Given that the 2 stroke has no oil inside the block you only need to worry about the fuel and fuel storage drying out and forming varnish.  Cover the exhaust pipe and be sure to put some storage lube in the cylinders and cover the carburetor inlets after you drain out the float bowls.  Try not to leave a lot of fuel in the tank as it will deteriorate also.
