Rotax 503 Ignition

New to ultralights and to this forum so please bear with me. I have a Rotax 503 DCDI and would like to wire the ignition system allowing a mag check on each coil. Currently I have two switches, one for each black/yellow wire to ground that particular coil, but if either one is switched off the engine shuts down. How can this be wired or CAN it be wired to allow this?

How you WANT it to operate is how it is SUPPOSED to Operate.
Something is wrong with the wiring.
Each BLK/YEL wire should be connected to its own switch and then to ground.
No part of either circuit should be connected to the other.
It sounds like the BLK/YEL wires are connected together at some point.

It has been a long time to respond due to so much going on this year. But you are right and I have a bad trigger. Now I will post another question to the forum in a new post.
