Idle screw adjust

Easy question? On a 582 even when I wind the idle screw right in, the engine only idles at about 1700 rpm.? Why the idle not goes to the recomended 2.000 rpm? The air screw setting is ok, (Rotax manual). Thanks a lot!!

Check the slide. It probably has a worn spot where the slide contacts the idle stop.

Excellent answer Dennis, the carb piston has a worn spot on the edge where the screw rests...thanks a lot
