Question: How critical are the small/thin o-ring seals on a Rotax 503 crankshaft? Someone is telling me they are not needed.
Answer: The o-rings you see on the crankshaft bearings are to keep the outer race of the bearing from rotating within the crankcase.. Yes they are necessary
