Horameter wiring on 503

I want my horameter counting only when the motor is running where can I connect it?
A friend tell me connect to the back wire after the regulator, I did it but the horameter count as soon as I put the main switch on.

Connect with tachometer, so engine running the tachometer working then hour meter will start counting, when shut down the engine the tachometer will be stop then hour meter will be stop counting also.

On some Rotax wiring Schemes the tacho is fed by 2 green wires and it seems that a special coil fed either volts and pulses, is that correct?
On my 503 a grey wire feed the tacho, may i connect the hourmeter on this grey wire?

Yes, connect the hourmeter on gray wire.
