582 coolant flush

On my 582 draining some coolant to inspect it, I noticed some brown rusty crud came out. Also it's around the inside of the radiator cap. Is there a proper way to flush this coolant or just drain it out and replace? I have a new jug of dexcool 50/50 ready to put in. I suspect it hasn't been changed in a while.
