Today's date is January 12, 2018 and I just posted a message (#18025) basically looking for the same thing. I wouldn't feel comfortable flying around behind one of these engines unless I assembled it using the correct torque values, proper crankcase sealer (if required) etc, etc. Surprising there isn't an old copy floating around somewhere ...

Thanks in advance Tim for any info if you have had any luck ...

Hi guys...been operating a 503 for around 10 years now...like you I wanted to know how to look after it....

I found manuals online but the best think I did was buy one of the CPS DVD on re-building the 503.

As long as you have a basic understanding of building these engines it should answer your questions...covers a full strip/re-build with all the tools req.

I wonder if you guys have come across these CPS articals.

Thanks NIck! - DVD is ordered, and I'm sure I'm going to love those articles! I've had excellent luck with the 503 and want to make sure it continues, so many thanks for your interest and comments.

There are 2 DVD about with a simular title....seen both...the Mike Stat-man DVD is way better...

Yes love my 503 also...nice simply little engine.

Mines a DCDI.

I fly a trike single seat now...so it has lots of power to spare.

Let me know what you think of the vid.

The one in the link is the one I have...I think CPS do sell both.

Not sure if you know...Mike Stratman used to own CPS.
