Mike,
Should have put this all in one post but here is another tank source you might want to look into. Check out the Coyote-Gear fuel tank website. They put the filler necks and fuel pickups anywhere you want them and and make them either cap vented or a separate vent tube. Also any length and diameter tank you want. I've installed several of these and they are really well made.

Aircraftspruce has the pump for $33.50. I'll check the tank tomorrow to see if it has hose fittings on the top. I'll also check Lockwood for the fitting and grommet.
