618 Oil Pump

I have oil seeping through the oil pump into the rear intake, which then fills the carb bowl with oil.
My question is: Can the pump be repaired by possibly cleaning, or do I have to replace the very expensive pump?

Merle,

Just replace the check valve/banjo fitting on the pump. Part # 966010. This will solve the problem.
