Every time I "break" my Pegasus Q to fit the wing, all the fuel siphons out of the carb bowl via the plastic vent tube. Is there a way to prevent this ?
No, this is a flexwing microlight, the tank is on the trike. The trike folds to enable the wing to be fitted. In the folded position, the carb goes to an angle of about 70 degrees, at which point, the fuel siphons out of the plastic tube ( vent tube )
You could re-route the tube so the common breather hole is above the level of the fuel in the float chamber. (Or extend the front tube and shorten the aft one so the breather is more to the rear - but they must both go to a common hole.) But I still think you may lose some fuel from elsewhere on the chamber when the monopole is down.
Hi Huw, every time finish flying for the day now I take the bowls off my carbs and dispose of the fuel...topping it up with fresh next time I fly after its rigged, doing that would solve your prob Huw,
As mine do the same Huw....and they are brand new carbs...
