Re: 582 Blue Head -EGT is drafting up..mixture or oil?

Jets are not to expensive....I would never try to dill holes in them to enlarge the jet size,
See what both gauges read and report back...if only one is raising in temp you need to investigate some more,
Generally speaking I think the std jet rotax rec should suit most conditions...unless you operate at high ground sites...maybe worth taking all the jets out of the carbs....making a note of each jet number and seeing if its the correct jetting according to the manual...just in case the owner before you messed about with it,
Be very careful fitting smaller jets as you can cause engine damage.

Thank you all for the good advises.

Do remember Nir that your max temps where below the 1200f that Rotax recommend,
If you run to rich and raising the needle will make the mix richer....you can cause excess carbon build up with stuck rings....as well as waste fuel....just something to bear in mind,
When the OAT warms up again...you will prob see a further drop in EGTs.

Around 1100@5400 rpm to my knowledge...don't bank on it though...only going by memory.
