Rev Counter

Mainair Blade, 582 Blue Top, anyone know where the pick up is from for the rev counter please? Inflight it intermittantly registers more than the actual revs and creates interference on the radio!

    Hello I can not find the dates of the messages in the posts... there is another post on page 8 or 9 with some info about rpm erratic indication. The most common and normally accepted as "normal" is the excesive drop when checking L or R magneto. This is discused on that post.
    I am having more variated erratict indications as the one you mention too much rpm up to 8000 but also no indication at all, 3000 max, 2000 maximun and decreasing when increasing power...
    The last is we are experiencing is good indication for two minutes after starting, erratic the next 5 to 10 minutes and perfect the rest of the flight... but all this after 3 years without any problem at all. We are going to open and check the magneto. Probably it is someway wrong.
