Oil Pumps

I considering putting on a oil pump on my 503DC. I'm looking to buy used and ha e found a bunch on Ebay. I'm trying to determine if the pumps from snowmobiles are the same as the ones for aircraft. Any ideas?

Hello Allan

First check the end of your crankshaft to see if you have the square drive hole for the nylon drive shaft that runs the pump. If you don't have that then save your money. I dont know if it is exactly the same as the snowmobile one, only a check of the physical versions/parts would tell you that. The part numbers for a Ski Doo are not the same as for the aircraft engine so that is not a reliable way to check.
