After starting the 912a engine, the temperature is raising normally. The oil temperature limit given in the operator's manual is 50 to 140 degree Celsius and normal operating temp is 90 to 110 degree Celsius. But during the flying the oil temperature is not raising beyond 70 degree Celsius. It may be because of faulty temperature sensor? or environment effect? What it could be? Any one?

What is the outside temperature?

I have a similar behavior with my 912S3: it increases gradually up to around 78°C, then stabilizes there whether the OAT is 0°C or +30°C. On warm days during climbout, it can go up to 85/90°C, then it goes back down to 78°C during cruise.
After asking the aircraft manufacturer about this, I was told the oil thermostats were working as designed and stabilizing the temperature around 80°C, well above the minimum temp.

Manoj,
Without understanding your particular configuration (cowled tractor? Open pusher?) I can tell you my 912 UL in a Zenith 701 ran cool as well on my first flights, even in 32C weather. I had to remove the cooling duct to the oil cooler and then place a piece of aluminum tape over the upper portion of the oil cooler just to reach the minimum recommended temperature. Even then I will only reach 210F if I keep RPM at 5,000 or above for a few minutes. As soon as I reduce power to below 5,000 the temperature falls to around 190F and stays there unless I advance power again to 5,000 RPM or above.

Many of us put a piece of tape over some of the oil cooler to increase temps in Winter then take them off for summer.
The theory that you need to get to 100 deg C is of course BS. The explanation that you need to get that hot to drive off any moisture in the oil is based on not understanding the physics of water vapour and partial pressures.
Any oil temperate above ambient the water vapour will start to leave the oil. The hotter the faster this happens. 80 degrees c will be fine.

Could you please explain it further. I couldn't understand.
