Float design fixed?

While ordering some parts from California Power, I asked and they had floats in stock so I ordered them. I got to thinking that I might have made a mistake.

Are the current floats for sale fixed or do we still have the problem of sinking floats and hassle of checking for sinking floats?

I ordered the floats from Lockwood. Are there really two floats per carburetor and do the really cost $225.00?

Hi Tony,

There are two floats per carb (fairly standard for many carbs) and you must have purchased 4 floats for $225.

Well about a year ago there was version 3. Well it tirns out the version 3 floats did not work. I just ordered the new version 4 and hopefully they will work. This is really getting expensive buying all these floats that fail.
