Hi,

I have tightened a couple connections from spark plug connector to wire by ;

turning off the connector, clipping the wire about 1 cm and turning the connector back on .


I think the spark plug connectors are only screwed onto the wires .

I believe this is the case at the coils too , but I have never had the wires out of them.

correct Kevin; the wires are screwed into both the coils and caps, they each have a threaded prong inside. No sealant is required but make sure the outer sheath is pushed over the coil housing to seal out moisture. the cap makes its own seal.
The outer sheath, p/n 860990, is very important for electrical insulation. Do not substitute with heat shrink or leave it off. Also do not use 2-stroke wire (with the white core)or common automotive wire. the engine will not run properly.

Ok, so I should do this by myself.
The problem is on my engine for long time outer sheath wasn't pushed properly. Maybe there is my problem with 400rpm drop on one magneto. Another what I don't like is some corrosion on coils square bolts. I'd like to clean it.

My local distributor not always have every rare parts for rotax, if he haven't what type of fable I can use? I thinking about high quality general usage wires but maybe you know any parameters?

I would not take a chance with such an important part of the engine; order new ignition cable and sheath from your Rotax distributor. they are not rare parts.

Sheath too? Mine look's fine but they are not pushed properly.
